I haven’t done movie reviews in a while. It’s mostly because I have tons to do and it is not my priority. But I miss freestyle blogging so much that tonight, I’m just itching to write!

I will try my best not to spoil the movie, but then again, there’s nothing to spoil really. This is history relived in the cinema. Actually – in one hell of a cinema, the IMAX!

If you want to watch it, I suggest you watch it at IMAX or anywhere with ATMOS. The sound quality will transport you back in time, taking you to the edge of your seat through the entire movie! There aren’t a lot of dialogues in this film, not even shaky chaotic action scenes (referring to Transformers films). All it has is good acting, supported by great cinematography and powerful scoring that will involve you in every scene.

I have been fascinated with World War I and II stories recently. This for a fact that I keep watching History Channel as my default and know now how the world changed because of this. Back in high school, I couldn’t care less. Maybe because I’m a visual person. Seeing the action through documentaries and movies like this, and playing Battlefield made WWI and WWII my favorite subject.

Let’s go back to the film. It is a must-watch, even if you are not a fan of war movies. The scenes, and the way they are filmed and directed will affect your deepest emotions one way or another. This also gives people, who have given up on humanity, a sense of hope. Watch and you’ll see.

Everyone wants the Good Life.  But, how do you define it?  If you think it’s all about having the lifestyle of the rich and famous, then you’ve got to earn a lot of bucks to be in it… or not!  Why not just rob the houses of celebrities and take their Chanels, Louboutins, their Rolexes and jewelry etc.?  Just get enough, enough that they won’t notice thier things are gone!  But what if you get carried away?

This is exactly what “The Bling Ring” is all about.  This movie is based on real life events.  I say “based” because it is not entirely accurate.  I’ve never heard of this “Bling Ring” gang before, but they do have the guts!  I had to do my research for this of course and looked into the real members of the Bling Ring gang.

There isn’t much to spoil actually because the main gyst of the story is just all about robbing houses of high profile celebrities and that’s it.  If you want to know more about the real Bling Ring Members, you can check out a detailed story here.

What is pretty interesting here, is one of the members of the gang is actually currently filming for their own E! reality show “Pretty Wild.”   Actually, all of the members got famous after getting arrested.  Which goes to show that America (or the world) has a sick obsession about the “Bonnie and Clyde” syndrome.

The movie was pretty okay in general.  You have to watch it to catch Emma Watson portraying a more mature, more “wild” role.  I wasn’t used to her being a bit dumb and aloof in this movie.  Great American accent too, none of the smart british tone.  You also need to watch this movie if you love fashion.  They had so many pretty and shiny things!

The National Geographic special Inside Malacanang will be shown on Nat Geo on March 18, at 9pm.

The Malacañang Palace was open for the public in the time of Corazon Aquino, the country’s first lady President.  Due to heavy security concerns, we can’t stroll along the compounds freely anymore but this documentary will take you inside the Palace.  It’s very interesting because the public knows so little about what’s going on there.

This special won’t only be played on local Nat Geo, but it will air soon in Southeast Asia and the rest of the World.  Congratulations to National Geographic Channel and Marnie Manicad productions for a successful documentary!

In the tradition of producing high quality mini-seryes, TV5 brings another highly anticipated primetime program, Nandito Ako, starring international Kapatid star David Archuleta alongside the network’s home-grown princesses Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero. Helmed by popular director Mac Alejandre, the series about young love will premiere this February 20 (Monday) on TV5 primetime.

After the critically-acclaimed Sa Ngalan ng Ina (topbilled by the one and only Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor) paved the way for the mini-serye format in Philippine television, the Kapatid Network embarks on another series that will capture the interest of younger viewers and the whole family alike. I have been catching up on the comic world lately and I actually just saw the Green Lantern animated movie and I was so excited to watch the live-action film with Ryan Reynolds and my favorite Gossip Girl Blake Lively <3 they’re both so hot!

I had to miss Pole practice for this, but I also couldn’t miss watching it with Krispy Kreme and other blogger friends!  They have a new flavor that’s out only for this season of Green Lantern 🙂 I remembered they also had a special flavor before with Green Hornet.  Check it out coz it will only be available ’til July 10.  I love that it doesn’t taste too sweet.  It’s just the right amount of Dark Chocolate and that alien-looking gooey jelly substance… 😛

I constantly blog about songs and their meaning and how it affects me.  It’s about time I share something about our very own local music with Yeng Constantino and Pedicab.  They just did a super cool awesome mash-up together of both their songs “Jeepney Love Story” by Yeng “FX” by Pedicab.  Oh yes, the local automobiles that are part of our daily lives.  Don’t you think they are meant to do this mash-up?

I am telling you… before they actually performed the mash-up, I tried to listen to both songs and I tried to play the mash-up in my mind… and I couldn’t make it work!!! That is why I am not a musician at all… But after I heard their mash-up – DUDE!!! It’s super awesome how they changed things just right to make everything collaborate! So check it out at the bottom of this page for the link to the actual video performance of Yeng and Pedicab’s Mash-up.

Don’t ignore the story of both songs.  Yeng will explain in the interview how she felt when she was writing the song and the same with Pedicab who also was interviewed at Episode 7.

After Pole class, I rushed to watch X-men First Class!

All I can say is, you have to watch it!  The movie is dubbed by reviewers and critics as the best Marvel ever made so far! I won’t give any spoilers but do enjoy the movie over the weekend yah?

I had to put on some cologne, baby powder to freshen up and a blooming dress!  It’s so hot in Manila and it feels like it’s either summer or typhoon season @_@

oh yeah, and after a month and a half of pole class, I can finally do this:

But of course, I need to practice more for more awesome stuff… the Polecats teachers are super awesome as well as my fellow Pole Kittens (students)!  We give each other tips, we share stories and encourage each other ^_^ yaye to the new friendship! I love you guys *cyberhugzzz*
