Event Details

Cues Ke$ha’s song “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young.”  and Taylor Swifts “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22” and all the crazy fun songs that just embodied our Laboracay weekend with Smart Live All Out Party!

I broke my personal record!

Longest stay in Boracay (8 days, 7 nights!) one fully loaded week!

Longest simultaneous partying (7 nights)

achieved 80% alcohol in my blood (I kid you! I have a very nice functional liver and I drink wheatgrass)

Fell in love with a stranger (may ganon? joke lang!) more of like, grabbed a stranger and danced with him (so he can save us from some jeje trying to *BS* me and my friend)

Swam by the beach at night! (shhhhhh!!!)

Ran out of clothes and become creative.

Won a random spinning elephant contest!

Took paraw sailing to a different level, walked by the edge of the boat’s stabilizers and high fived someone from another boat (Lance DeOcampo) while running!

Danced on top of the DJ’s stage!

I definitely lived ALL OUT!

Me and my friends arrived on April 27.  We were warming up for the Labor Day weekend festivities.

as the labor day weekend comes close and closer, more parties, more friends, more fun!

The only thing I love about beach parties: you don’t have to wear heels, you can dance barefoot, you wear comfortable clothing (uh-huh) and you get to swim when it gets too hot and malagkit!

Best part: you don’t have to drive home!  You can just sleep by the sand and no one cares! (I kid :P)

Comes May 2 and my blogger friends arrived from Manila!

We stayed at Boracay Garden Hotel

We LOOOOVE our room!  We have pool access by our Balcony, spacious room and not-so-pricey mojitos by the pool bar!

Seriously guys, I brought work with me (because I work from home gala!)

As long as there is internet, I can work from wherever I am, super thanks to SMART LTE prepaid broadband for making this possible!

Here’s how my sched looks like:

4pm onwards at White House to party

9 pm go home to freshen up

Dinner with the bloggers and smart team before partying!

at Sun down, the party people of boracay were treated to an All Out Music Festival with performances from some of the country’s finest artists to celebrate youthful victories. Bands and DJs that rocked the event are The Oktaves, Yolanda Moon, Brigada, Funk Avy, Callum David, Scratchmark, Thea, and David Ardiente.

We had to say goodbye to Boracay on Saturday, but our journey didn’t end there!

To embody our theme for this week to “LIVE ALL OUT,”  we flew to Cebu just to eat Zubuchon!!!

When I first heard about the features of this speaker, I asked “Water WHAT speakers?”

Let me just clarify, this is not water proof – you cannot submerge it underwater!!! Why would you want underwater speakers anyway?  It’s useless!  What it is is a water resistant, splash proof and weather proof.  This is the Braven BRV-1!

This was the night I surrendered to the music of the night

I’m not a big theatre fan, but ever since I’ve seen good productions when I moved here in Manila, I started to be amazed with this industry!  Like “Where have you been all my life!?”  When I heard Phantom of the Opera is going to show in the Philippines I was ecstatic!

The Venue

Can I just say, I’ve fallen for the characters.  And when you’re watching it, it just affects you in every way possible.  It’s all about passion and unrequited love which I’m sure a lot of people can relate to.

I haven’t seen any plays or movies of the Phantom of the Opera yet so I had the advantage of discovering the story on a very nice setting at the comforts of my city – in CCP.

The Actors

Yes, I’m a theatre noob and hearing about it, hearing about the songs and watching in live with the great actors was really something! 

That last line was hard for me not to be emotionally involved.  The build-up of the characters were timely as expected but in general, you’d find yourself transported into their world.  At least that was how it felt for me.

The Orchestra and the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber

I was also able to go to the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.  It was great, and a good snap of the Phantom of the Opera through the songs, but seeing it in the actual set was amazing, with my favorite lines…

And the truth isn’t what you want to see
In the dark it is easy to pretend
That the truth is what it ought to be

Costumes, Set and Transition

Great costumes, great set.  No fancy LCD screens shimmering to different backdrops.  It was old school push and pull sets.  I was impressed at the seemingly floating alley / bridge. 

Romantic Scenes

Complete with the Gondola scene, the music, and the acting – it was perfect.  Romantic!  I thought it would be overly corny, I was very fond of the Chemistry between the actors.  Even if we weren’t seated right at front you could feel it.

And when they did the scene with them 3, and with this song:

Sigh… it was very hard for me to write this post without being emotionally involved all over again! I suggest you watch it yourself.  It’s been selling quite good that they decided to extend it twice now until October 14 2012!  I heard tickets are selling fast!

They’re the first girl band I went crazy with and until now, I still am!  I think, without them, I wouldn’t be this “FLAIR” candy you know now. Seriously!  They inspired me that whole “Girl Power” thing and went well for me all the way!

The London Olympics featured almost all modes of transportation in their closing  ceremony.  One Direction used a huge truck. 

Spice Girls used TAXI cabs! Glittered taxi cabs!

and they were WOW!  I got the Goosebumps all over watching them again, reunited!  I really wish to watch their concert, it has been my dream.  And they were so close to performing in Hong Kong which I would have flown for just to see them.

I’m on fangirl mode again!

I went home via Clark airport and I was so worried that Clark airport might be flooded as well, and my car would be flooded too.  Luckily it didn’t flood in Clark Airport and it is one safe place for my car, rather than I would have left it in my condo in Manila, my car would have been gone.

I got stranded in Clark area because NLEX was flooded and the rest of the roads I needed to cross to go home. 

With nothing to do, I was companied by music and color.  I brought my Urbanears with me.  I waited long hours in the airport, and more hours being stuck in Clark.

After the rains and the onslaught of the habagat, we rise again.  As always.
