And of course, I would like to thank all my readers, friends and family who have been forever supportive of my endeavor as a blogger since 2008. This year I also celebrated my 5th year of blogging in May 1 and I celebrated it in the island of Boracay for labor day.

This year has been a great year to celebrate years of being inspired as well as inspiring other people. Nothing is impossible when you put in it. Luck happens when opportunities and preparedness meet. Seize the day, do what makes you happy, and above all – LOVE. Because that is the catalyst to making your dreams come true! Lastly,YOLO!

You see, those write-ups usually happen spontaneously and when I’m on the go or before I sleep.

I change phones too much and realize that I just miss using my BB qwerty phone! It’s all I need to put thoughts into writing.

My friends say, I need to install a camera that could follow me everywhere and wherever I go because apparently, spontaneous blurts from my mouth were very entertaining for my friends. Kinda like “sh*t my dad says” my close friends often quote my silly punch lines on twitter.

I’m a very happy person. Sometimes though, my energy is drained by harsh forces or environment. I miss being me, free and productive, doing what I love best – living the good life!

True enough, her vision for us new breed of bloggers is to professionalize it. ;While this might be hard because the essence of blogging is all about freedom and being personal, I do get her point, and that is to make sure that we know that our blog is a form of “Service” to the public. ;You give information to online readers WORLDWIDE and with great power comes great responsibility.

I took a few notes but I don’t want to put everything here. ;I encourage you to attend this class and/or the Fashion ;Diploma or Certificate courses being offered by SOFA if you want to better your blogging/writing skills as a fashion blogger/editor.

Notes on Fashion Journalism:

• Grammar and Spell check

I am so guilty of this. ;I don’t check my grammar. ;There’s an auto spell check feature which is fine, but grammar check is a bit tricky. ;From now on, I will try to edit blog posts (at least once).

• Be accountable and responsible for your blog posts

Sadly, this is one thing most bloggers tend to forget. ;You may rant all you want, but ranting gives your readers just a one-way view of things – your side. ;Ask all the journalists and they will say this is bad journalism. ;If you would want to rant, try to give two sides. ;Remember, a blogger is powerful enough to cause controversies, close a business down and condone someone of losing his/her job forever. ;Be responsible and know that your one move could cause irreversible consequences.

Those are the two main points I got out of the seminar, but there’s more to learn especially if you want to hone your skills as a writer. ;Separate yourself from other bloggers by becoming better in writing. ;

To add to this, content is key. ;You don’t want to write about someting you know nothing about like me for example writing about players rewards card. I would rather write about Formula 1 because I love the sport. ;Topics I would want write about are Travel, Sports, Lifestyle and lately I want to write more about Beauty and Fashion. ;That’s why I’m thinking of taking that certificate course from SOFA when it comes to Fashion Journalism so that I would know about the jargons being used in Fashion.

I just found out that there were countries visiting my site that I didn’t even know of.  I know I’m bad at geography and memorizing country names.  But I seriously haven’t encountered some of the places that visit my blog.

If I have enough money… I would want to travel to these places.  It’s the unpopular that I want to discover.  I find more treasure in the rare like rare music, rare TV drama… and the likes. 

I just watched “The Expendables.”  Don’t ask me about the review, I wouldn’t say anything nice.  I learned something though.  I learned that there is a place called “Vilena”.

I looked at my Cluster Maps and what you are seeing is data from May 2010 up to date.

Just by looking at it, I wondered what countries or places those dots are… I’m like “There’s internet connection there?”  and yet, they visited my blog!

The list below contains some countries visiting my website that I have never heard of like Senegal, Suriname, Malawi, Guyana, Belarus, Djibouti, Guernsey, Swaizland, Benin, Niue, Martinique, Mozambique, Anguilla and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

C’mon! I mean I admit it to my deepest soul that I have grammatically incorrect sentence structures and misspellings… 😛 Even my boss acts as an ad-hoc “editor” for my blog sometimes. I don’t know if he has the luxury of time to view my site again and correct my grammar misfortunes because he has not grabbed my attention about my blog lately.

See when I was blogging alone before (no solid audience), I couldn’t care less about what I write! I just know that I want to write about something passionately, or rant about things just to unload some emotions into artistic form! But now that I have frequent visitors and a “real” audience for this, I started to feel quite conscious about what I write and with this I think that I am not free writing anymore.

Free writing in my own flaircandictionary simply means to write as I think. This usually does not involve second view/reading or editing. I write what comes into my mind as it pops up instantly and there you go… a very messy blog post… 😛 hehe — A very sloppy one that if this was a real job and I’m paid for it and I have a very OC boss-editor, I think I’d fail my Performance Management! So I think I better put a disclaimer at the bottom of my posts. What do you think? Nah… I – lazy to do one 😛 hehe (see what I mean by sloppy? :P)

Actually, I really don’t care for the love of stylus and pen if people would give negative feedbacks or critique about my site! But I would love to hear them (good or bad) and if you have one so drop some mail love because I heart e-mails! I want to do more for this blog and I am serious about it so let me know what you think I can do more to improve it… I would appreciate those thoughts like hugs and kisses! 😀 (I am so animated even as I write pure text :P)
