<p>When I was almost done with my NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE 14-Day Program, I felt the change even without checking with the scale yet. My clothes were fitting me okay, my jeans are easier to wear with and everything just felt more comfortable!</p>
<p>I guess that&#8217;s the real essence of losing weight. It makes you feel more comfortable, then it has a domino effect on your whole well-being: you feel good, you exude confidence and in turn, you do better at work or in school, your social life booms and everyone would say &quot;blooming ka ah!&quot; That indeed was what happened to me. People keep noticing my change in weight that even my pole instructors were amazed at the &quot;healthy&quot; weight I now have.</p>

<p align="center">The often most neglected part of any exercise is warm-up, stretching and conditioning.</p>
<p align="center">And since I burned some good calories after a good exercise at home, I have to put bananas in my NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE cereal for dinner and maybe add 1 hard-boiled egg for protein (for muscle repair). My goal is to lose the fat and gain healthy muscle!</p>

It trains my body to eat more nutritious food that complements my exercise, making it more effective in losing weight! </p>
<p>They also say, the more you exercise, the more you improve your bodyâ€™s metabolism. NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE 14-Day Program also has the same goal. By eating 2 meals of NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE Cereal, 1 balanced meal, and 2 healthy snacks in between is actually more effective in improving my bodyâ€™s metabolism than skipping meals and starving myself. This is based on my past experiences when I do 2-day crash diets and then end up gaining more weight than I should. </p>

<p>First of all, the NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE cereals come with different flavors.&#160; So, I can work on alternating flavors for one.</p>
<p>Second, I can incorporate more flavor to my cereal by adding fruits, using soy milk and dark chocolate bits, the list is endless!&#160; My favorite has always been the original NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE flakes, milk, good bananas and mango 🙂</p>
<p>Healthy ways to make your NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE 14-Day Program more interesting:</p>
<ul>
<li>Add fruits to your cereal.&#160; Like I said, banana and mango are my favorite fruits to add to my cereal. </li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It may not be easy to travel on a diet but if you&#8217;re dedicated, it is possible.&#160; One of my rules when I&#8217;m traveling is &quot;no diet&quot; whatsoever.&#160; Period.&#160; But I had to change that since I was so committed to seeing the results of my current 14-Day diet.</p>
<p>I was on my NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE14-Day Program.&#160; The good thing is, the cereals are easy to bring along with.&#160; For the 14-Day duration I had 2 travel destinations &#8211; one locally in Subic and the other one that was quite challenging was my trip to Jakarta.</p>
<p>For Subic, it was easy for me because I was with my officemates for our teambuilding.&#160; Initially, they all teased me that they&#8217;d all be eating buffet for breakfast, dinner and lunch and I&#8217;d look SAD not being able to eat 2 meals.&#160; Meh&#8230; like I said, it&#8217;s all about dedication and your commitment to see the results!</p>
<p>I wrote this down in my last blog post and I&#8217;ll write it again, my officemates LOVE NESTLÃ‰ FITNESSE! It&#8217;s a good thing that they do because they totally supported me on my diet. They would say &quot;Hey diba bawal ka niyan?&quot; when they see me sneaking into the buffet table, or &quot;Kain ka na muna kahit konti.&quot;&#160; So I did that.</p>

<p>It was hard to be so strict on this diet that I had to adjust a little for the occasion.&#160; During dinner I had approximately 3 spoonful of the food from the buffet table, just not to deprive myself.&#160; Those served as &quot;snacks&quot; for me.&#160; </p>
<p>As for my travel to Jakarta, it was harder! We stayed at Century Park Hotel in Jakarta and their breakfast also serves buffet!&#160; </p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t eat the pancakes and waffles but I tried a bit of beef bacon and their local &quot;fried noodles.&quot;&#160; Good thing it wasn&#8217;t so appetizing, flavor wise, so I celebrated with the fruit and salad section!</p>

<p>The weird thing is, slowly during the diet, I didn&#8217;t crave for anything &quot;oily&quot; and &quot;sinful&quot; which is amazing!&#160; Everytime I search for my meals for lunch, I&#8217;d make sure they are balanced, not so greasy and healthy.&#160; And for snacks, I look for fruits instead.&#160; It makes me feel fresh, clean and maybe my body doesn&#8217;t lie.&#160; Someway, somehow, my body is telling the &quot;decision-making&quot; part of my brain to choose healthy food because it is good for me.&#160; </p>
<p>Airports are filled with fast-food restaurants and I am so happy I didn&#8217;t crave for any of them.&#160; And I&#8217;m glad that part of the diet is to eat one good balanced meal per day &#8211; this didn&#8217;t deprive me of tasting the local food of Indonesia and Malaysia.</p>
<p>In conclusion, it might be difficult to go on a diet while traveling but if you are committed to it, nothing will stop you.&#160; Plus, your body and brain help you in a way.&#160; When you start the healthy diet, they would help you crave less and decide better on which food to pick.&#160; At the end of the day, it&#8217;s all about the choices we make, and every time &#8211; we do have a choice.&#160; Let&#8217;s pick the right one, the choice that&#8217;s good for us 🙂</p>

You enjoy life when you can freely move and do your everyday chores, and more when you do extraordinary things once in a while. What I mean is, you canâ€™t enjoy â€œlifeâ€ when you always feel sick and sluggish. Iâ€™ve been on that stage and I think that was the main cause of my self-diagnosed depression. It was horrible times until I finally discovered how fun it is to live â€œThe Good Lifeâ€ â€“ hence my blogâ€™s tagline. </p>

<p><b>Exercise</b></p>
<p>We all know this is important. Exercise keeps our heart healthy. I notice that when I exercise, my skin feels healthier too! Iâ€™m not sure about the exact science, but Iâ€™m sure the whole process of working out has a beneficial butterfly effect on our entire bodyâ€™s different systems.</p>
<p>Â· Digestive system â€“ exercise helps better metabolism. The more you exercise, the more you burn. The more you gain healthy muscle, the more you burn. The more effective process of your body absorbing the good minerals. Balanced diet also comes in but Iâ€™ll talk about that later.</p>
<p>Â· Nervous system â€“ I just seem to be more reactive to my environment. My reflexes got better â€“ kinda like Spidermanâ€™s <a href="http://www.flaircandy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/clip_image001.png"><img decoding="async" style="background-image: none;border-right-width: 0px;margin: 0px;padding-left: 0px;padding-right: 0px;border-top-width: 0px;border-bottom-width: 0px;border-left-width: 0px;padding-top: 0px" title="clip_image001" border="0" alt="clip_image001" src="http://www.flaircandy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/clip_image001_thumb.png" width="23" height="23" /></a>Iâ€™m kidding of course. But exercise also helps my motor skills.</p>
<p>Â· Muscular and skeletal system â€“ this one is pretty obvious. You get healthier muscles and sturdier bones.</p>
<p>Â· Cardiovascular system â€“ your blood circulation improves. Healthier heart â€“ more love &lt;3</p>
<p>Â· Respiratory system â€“ exercise strengthens your diaphragm and has long term beneficial effects to your lungs</p>
<p><b>The 4 Letter Word: DIET</b></p>
<p>Personally, Iâ€™m a huge exercise fan â€“ but Iâ€™m missing out on the â€œ<b>Eat Healthy</b>â€ part. Food is just a sweet temptation! I love eating so much (I know Iâ€™m not alone in this predicament) that I exercise as much as I could so that I can eat more of the things that I want! But, no matter how much I exercise, I still couldnâ€™t reach my â€œgoalâ€ of losing some inches here and there.</p>
<p><b>Diet Goals</b></p>
<p>We all have different goals for losing weight and losing inches. For some, it would be â€œto fit in my jeans againâ€, â€œto fit in my wedding dressâ€, â€œso I look good in a photoshootâ€, etc.</p>
<p>For me, my goal is simply just to look good doing my favorite sport â€“ â€œPOLEâ€</p>
<p>I donâ€™t think Iâ€™m fat or anything like that. In fact, thatâ€™s the reason why I simply donâ€™t go on any â€œDIETâ€ at all and just eat whatever the heck I feel like eating. Itâ€™s been like this for years for me. </p>
<p><b>Going on a Diet</b></p>
<p>I enjoy exercise and I have no problem doing it everyday.</p>
<p>My BIG problem is, I enjoy eating my favorite food. I donâ€™t enjoy being on a diet. I donâ€™t enjoy limiting my meals. I like my FREEDOM when it comes to my eating habits.</p>
<p>But then again, too much freedom can cost you. Freedom is only good when you have discipline. And this is my current goal: to discipline myself to achieve my bodyâ€™s goal. I know I have <b>toned</b> muscles underneath that layer of fat I have in my body because of the exercise that I do, and my challenging Pole classes. </p>
<p>But, in order for my â€œmuscle cutsâ€ and abs to be visible â€“ I need to lose â€˜em fat covering it. I donâ€™t just want a flat stomach, I want my abs to say â€œKonichiwaâ€ to the world! One day, I dream they will show up at least for once in my life. I have very challenging genes and itâ€™s my familiesâ€™ problem part â€“ that stomach and thighs ughâ€¦ to some women, itâ€™s just easy, but to me it would be very challenging but nevertheless, Iâ€™d like to think itâ€™s not impossible so weâ€™ll see.</p>
<p>Thatâ€™s why I decided to go on a diet â€“ a sure and healthy way of losing fat.</p>

<p>Whole grains are a great source of fiber. It helps your digestive system to be as effective as it can be and it should make you full and have less cravings. </p>
<p>They recommend to replace 2 of my daily meals with Nestle Fitnesse cereal, skimmed milk and fruits, ensuring of course that my third meal is<b> nutritionally balanced</b>. And of course, with exercise! </p>

<p>The thing is, I stopped measuring. At this point, a lot of people I see lately say â€œI lost a lot of weight.â€ I was absent from pole class for a month, and I just came back this week and my teachers say <b>â€œHey, you lost a lot of weightâ€ </b>(compared to a month ago). And I am so confused, because when I step on the weighing scale, Iâ€™m heavier than ever. I believe Iâ€™m at my heaviest right now! </p>
<p>Then I did some research.</p>

<p>They say, muscle weighs more than fat and while maybe I lost some fat from 1 month, I gained weight from muscle.</p>
<p>Thatâ€™s why I donâ€™t weigh anymoreâ€¦ I believe, youâ€™d feel better and you will know the difference if your diet and exercise are effective when you fit better in your clothes!</p>
