Polecats Manila

Formed in 2009, Polecats Manila is now considered to be the premiere pole dancing school in the country. Located at the heart of Ortigas, their studio boasts of professional grade equipment of the highest standards for safety and quality.

I can attest to their quality standards when it comes to pole fitness because I have been their student for more than a year now. They push you the right way, they harness your strengths and at the same time develop your weaknesses as well. For a year, I never had any injuries apart from minor bruises so I can really say their teaching methods are safe and a whole lot of fun! And the benefits I get out of pole dancing are tremendous: flexibility, strength, confidence, creativity, weight loss, muscle tone and achieving the impossible! 360 Fitness Club

The 360Ëš Circuit is the main training program of 360Ëš Fitness Club. It is a total body workout that combines cardiovascular and strengthening exercises. The circuit is made up of 20 exercise stations – 10 active stations + 10 active rest stations designed to be completed in 30 minutes.

Their workout is perfect for those who don’t want to sacrifice hours from their already busy schedule. For 30 minutes, you get a compact yet effective gym and aerobic workout. Yellow Halo

Thank goodness heaven just landed beside our pole studio!

I’ve been waiting for this healthy restaurant to launch and they have officially opened last June 30 at 22nd floor Strata 100! It completes the Alliance Wellness Center! Now we have healthier options and we don’t have to go far from where we work out!

What’s interesting is that they also have a Nutritionist present at the restaurant every Friday and Saturdays for consultation at 12nn – 2pm.

They offer guilt-free but delicious food!

Coaches introduced the new layout of the circuit, plus an added weight station (not sure how to call it) and of course, their dance studio which would include pole dancing to be taught by the polecats.

The new branch in Makati is on 7th floor Dolmar Gold Tower, C. Palangca st., Legaspi Village, Makati.

I heard from my boyfriend who had a Taylor Lautner-like transition (from skinny to bulky), that free weights have more advantages than machines – well at least for him.  Free weights use more muscles and it’s total body workout at its best.

I am inviting everyone to our Pole Recital “Stellar” on June 4 2011, 7pm at Teatrino Theater and Bar, Greenhills.

We just had our general rehearsal yesterday night – and OH EM GEE! You would want to watch this show that won’t happen again (probably in the next 6 months to a year).  We all worked hard on this and the performances are AWESOME to the hundredth power!

Come and watch us defy gravity!  Students will perform, plus special performances and of course the Polecats too! It will WOW you like CRAZY! I’m not even exaggerating 😛

And the tickets are only at P500! Which to me is worth much more than that, you wouldn’t see this anywhere!

When In Manila is also a partner! and some of my friends who did this music video will do lights and video documentation!

I’m so excited and I hope I will see you there!

This is my first time EVER on a POLE but I must say – It’s SO MUCH FUN!  I should have done this earlier!

Polecats is the Philippine’s premiere pole dance group and they have the only certified instructors in the Philippines.  They also use genuine X-Poles so you’re safe to whirl and swirl the pole 🙂

Like I said, it’s my first time so mind the awkwardness lol.

The Pole Dancing Class by the Polecats is at GEN Studios in Pearl Plaza, Ortigas.

They can accommodate a maximum of 20 students per class, so sign up 20 mins before the class.

It’s on a first-come-first-serve basis.

They teach different levels from Beginners 1, Beginners 2 up to Intermediate.

I asked my friend Kristel to come with me 🙂 and it’s her first time too!

We were advised to bring water, towel and wear SHORT shorts. And not to put lotion at all!

They are not kidding when they said – no lotion, coz if you do have some on – you’ll slide and your thigh grip will be powerless.
