Last September 11-14, 2009, I went to Malaysia for the first time. Technically, I was just in the country for 2 days. Just enough to meet and greet my long distance friends from Malaysia for the first time!

These guys are my friends from Malaysia and I met them all online. Yes, we EB’d (eye ball) in Malaysia lol. I’ve known them for more than two years now and it all started here. Before there was Facebook and Friendster was getting a little bit “jeje-ish”, I chat on this specific chat room when I was bored at work or in my house 😛

This chat box could be embedded in your blog and what’s great about it is that the url of your blog is linked at the bottom of your every chat. Shoutout Lounge was previously called PenangPenang.com. Penang is an island in Malaysia known for its great food 😛 (I am going there this August :P). Envy me? Bec a blogger lol. Through my first years in blogging, ShoutOut Lounge gained me more than just traffic. It gained me friends and I became a part of a fun community.

These friends of mine from Malaysia will be touring the Philippines finally! I really wanted to share to them how beautiful the Philippines is. 10 Malaysian bloggers will roam around Northern Luzon. I’m also looking for sponsors for their trip. 10 bloggers are also photo-journalists in their own way who take the most awesome photos from their annual travels :) If you are interested to sponsor their trip give me some love mail, and I will tell you what we can do for you :D With blogs averaging PR3, oh we can do so much!

Anyway, these are just road trippin’ pictures. I have yet to upload separate blog posts for our trip in Melaka, and my solo trip in KLCC.

By the way, I went to Malaysia ALONE! My first international trip alone! How is it so far? Lovely! But, since I’m a girl… it can be a little bit scary travelling alone.

Anyway, here are pictures of Malaysia ^_^ I couldn’t even believe I went here to meet them already!

Â

Thank goodness I have friends here. I was sitting pretty inside William’s car. I didn’t realize that commuting in Malaysia is a bit more difficult than I thought. The airport from KLCC to the main streets of Malaysia proper takes about an hour.

Woohoo!!! MALAYSIA!!!

I had a nice view from the car. I knew I had to take pictures of streets and signage that say “Malaysia” or Kuala Lumpur or any popular landmark 🙂

I just realized that Malaysia looked like Manila, Philippines. The roads and the buildings typically look the sam-ish. I felt at home.

Except for these structures… you won’t see this in Manila 😛

Malaysia is also Toll heavy like here in the Philippines.

of course, there are many signs that I don’t understad as they are either in Malay or Chinese Characters.

A signage with the Major cities ^_^ wee! Still, I don’t understand lol

This is Alvin Chew (left) and Aaron Woolala (right). Aaron is the one driving! YES! They drive on the left side of the road and drivers seat at the right side of the car. British influence.

This is William’s phone 😛 It’s a Nokia E71. The E71 has a built-in GPS. William installed a Garmin Software and voiala! GPS guiding us wherever we go!

I am not sure where to download Garmin map for E71 or E72. You can install a Garmin software for your E63 too, but you need another phone with GPS and you connect to the other phone’s GPS via bluetooth.

The look of the Garmin map is very similar to the stand-alone GPS device Vince has.

KLANG!!! Klang is very famous for Bah Kut Teh!!! My favorite!

William gases up! In Malaysia, you put your own gas to your car just like in the states T_T

I kenot do this lah… I dowan smell like gas or anything and I don’t think I know how to do this.

I’m used to being serviced by people who work for gasoline stations and operate the gas pumps for us 😛

Malaysia has different states by the way, just like in the US. And different states have different individual maps.

I believe this road is in Subang…

Typhoon’s coming in the Philippines… it’s gonna be another cold, gray violent night… There’s just one food I want to eat at this time… It’s Bah Kut Teh Time!

Klang, Malaysia

I often hear the BKT yum yum word in Plurk, Twitter, Facebook and Shout Out Lounge. I have many Malaysian and Singapore friends and they are all talking about it in their status updates. So I was curious and this food is number 1 in my to-taste list when I travelled all the way to Malaysia.

from left: William, Aaron, me, Alvin

September 13, 2009 on a beautiful and sunny Sunday morning. Three guys and a girl went to Klang to brunch at the BKT place. I swear they should have named that street BKT street because lined up just on that street were all BKT restaurants! In fact, they should name the whole town BKT because the restaurants there are full and we had to transfer and look for some dry BKT on another part of the city. It’s Bah Kut Teh everywhere!!!

It’s Malaysia’s Bulalo.

That’s one way I could describe the taste of BKT. It is served in many different ways and the taste and ingredients vary depending on which restaurants you go in.

Generally, it’s like the Philippines’ Bulalo but instead of using beef, they use pork in it. The soup tastes salty-sweet and the sweetness comes from the pork. I am not sure what spices they use to add some accent to the flavour of the soup but it surely got my tumtum happy XD

They served the rice with fried garlic! Their garlic tasted quite different and it had a more sweet and mild flavor which is just about right for me. Perhaps it’s the cut of the garlic. It was thinly sliced and not diced!

There are many cool stuff nuffnang can do to a blogger’s blogxistence! Most of these I have personally witnessed and envied from my friends in Malaysia! Now that Nuffnang is here! This is my chance… my time… my turn…

Â

How I knew about Nuffnang??? It’s these people who introduced it to me… Â My Malaysian friends through ShoutOutLounge! =)

Â

Â

Here are some of the blog entries they made about their Nuffnang experience:

Nuffnang really know how to make people happy by Mac_Bone

First Nuffnang Cheque by Danielctw

Meanwhile I am the outgoing Nuffie who likes to go to events and participate in many contests! Here are some events hosted in Malaysia and I would, if I could, want to be a volunteer if there are events also for the blog community.

Clickon the image above to be directed to Nuffnang’s blog about the Pajama Party! Â That was a very nice prestigious and most-awaited event for them and *wooot* how would you want to have these events too eh??? Â Them being hosted in a gnarly hotel and lots fo prizes 🙂 ok now I’m blabbing again… eh, that’s what I do when I’m excited.

Â

Â

Another thing I like about Nuffnang.ph is the analytics gosh I just like to many stuff eh? The Analytics thing is really helpful. I mean there are other webtools but having to see Nuffnang’s in a cool groovy and sassy layout is just a plus for me… 😛

Â

See I’m a new blogger (4 months only) and I’m shy shy to show to y’all my analytics board but IÂ don’t know what happened during that 2am on that specific day but my views spiked like crazy =.=… Â With this tool you could also view the keywords that drove traffic to your blog… the referrals and Country where they came from =) Â My traffic mostly comes from here, Malaysia and US =)

Â

Also, there’s this new feature that could let you see Nuffnangers who viewed your page ehehe.. It’s like mybloglog… =)

Â

ehehe, now sorry If you see your faces here =.=”Â

Â

Cool right… now the question is… How to sign up??

Â

Signing up is just as easy as 1, 2, step…everybody… 1, 2, step… sign up with Nuffnang PH at and get it on!

See my Nuffnang page is so cute and sassy =)

So, what are you waiting for… add some spice to your blog! Add Nuffnang that could convert your traffic into cash! Or add Nuffnang to increase your traffic! It is indeed a blogging social community after all, so make friends with fellow nuffies, bloggers and surely enjoy this truly new blogxperience!!!

Hold on, I just sounded like I’m advertising for an advertising company! Ho, Ho, Ho! But seriously I’m just so psyched for Nuffnang to be here and I just would like to share what I know about Nuffnang to all pinoy bloggers.

I wonder when could I meet the shouters in Malaysia though, probably sometime in the future also Ciao!!!
